Mk golf 1.9tdi heater only blows cold air unless you rev to 4000 for about 4 minutes the it starts to heat up but as soon as the revs drop it goes cold again. engine does not over heat and sits at 90 degrees. it has had a new heater matrix a new radiator a new thermostat a new temp sensor switch a new water pump and complete flush a few time now. . The BEW is an alright engine, the first of the PD engine type (higher injection pressures with more precise timing allowing for better power and lower emissions compared to the ALH). That 4-pin refrigerant pressure switch was a common failure on the A3 cars, and its failure mode would cause the fan to run constantly.
